Level 1 is the first level in the system and it is for players that are not able to rally with each other even at short distances. Therefore all exercises for Level 1 are designed to help the players start to rally. Once players can rally with each other they move to Level 2.

All Goals of Level 1
Groundstrokes
- You learn athletic skills such as throwing, catching, rolling and learn to incorporate them into your strokes
- You start with racket control exercises
- You learn to rally with a partner
Serve and Return
- You learn to put the ball into play with an overhead movement (with a forehand grip): first down the line and, then diagonally into the correct Service Box
- You learn to return your partner’s overhead serve consistently
Net Play
- You learn to keep the ball in play with your partner using the volley
- You learn to hit the ball above your head (overhead basics)
Footwork
- You will learn how to move forwards, backwards and sideways
- You will learn what a split step is and when to use it
Singles Tactics
- You learn to play safely over the net
- You learn to cooperate with your partner
