For more than 35 years we have worked nationally and internationally for different tennis federations, served as talent scouts, been immersed in player development from the ground up, been involved in coaches education, coached teams, developed training concepts for clubs and teams, been presenters at several national and international coaches’ conventions and worked with parents and officials on a daily basis.

Edgar Giffenig

Edgar joined the TennisGate team in 2011 and is the project manager for the international platform.

  • Longtime member of the ITF Coaches Commission.
  • Edgar has coached players of all ages and abilities for over 30 years..
  • In 2016, he was ranked 5th in the ITF world rankings for seniors up to 55.
  • Former Head of Player Development at the Palmer Tennis Academy.
  • Former founder and director of Centro Mextenis in Morelos, Mexico.
  • PTCA Accredited Master Professional IG, Qualified Expert in Junior & Coach Development and an International Gold Member.
  • Published many articles for the ITF and other tennis media.
  • Author of the Top 30 Selling Amazon Tennis book "Developing High Performance Tennis Players".

Juergen Mueller

Juergen started TennisGate together with Oliver in 2004, with the german version of the Coaches Club.

  • Juergen is a DTB A-certified coach.
  • Consultant of the new VS Tennis Academy in Villingen, one of the official TennisGate Education Centers.
  • Transition coach of Dominik Koepfer (#1 in US College in 2016, ATP Career High #49 in 2024)
  • 10 years official travelling coach of the German Tennis Federation. Multiple World and European Champion as coach with DTB Youth teams and individual players.
  • Speaker and examiner at the B-coach education in the Baden Tennis Association.
  • He won several German and national junior titles with youth players from Blau-Weiß Villingen
  • Since 1994, organizer of the Easter training camp in Albarella/Italy with a total of over 5,000 participants.

Founder of TennisGate

Oliver Heuft

Oliver founded TennisGate together with Juergen Mueller in 2004. He is the managing partner of TennisGate GmbH.

  • Oliver is a DTB A-certified coach.
  • PTCA Accredited Master Professional IG, Qualified Expert in Junior & Coach Development and an International Gold Member.
  • Over 20 years of experience as head of a youth talent promotion group and freelance coach for the Baden Tennis Association (Badischer Tennisverband), specialised in fostering talent up to the age of 14 and training technical basics with the aim of turning pro. 
  • Oliver was the Youth Coach (age of 6 to 14) of Dominik Koepfer, #1 US College in 2016 and ATP Pro (Career High #49 in 2024).
  • Oliver is a Media designer with expert knowledge in video editing, animations, layout and design.
  • Oliver has presented at many DTB and Badischer Tennisverband courses and is an ITF iCoach expert.
  • Oliver developed digital schoolbooks for tennis associations.
  • Oliver digitized the complete coaches education of the German Tennis Federation (DTB) as the producer of the DTB Online Campus, the official education platform for the german tennis federation (DTB) from 2015 - 2020, with 15,000 coaches.
  • He integrated the sports broadcasting analysis tool VizLibero into tennis education.
  • Oliver runs a visual coaching course inside the B-level-education of the Badischer Tennisverband (BTV).

Functional Training Expert 

SILVESTER NEIDHARDT

Silvester has been a permanent expert at TennisGate for functional training and testing since 2013.

  • PERSONAL TRAINING
  • His client portfolio includes Olympic ski champion Markus Wasmeier, world-ranked tennis players Rainer Schüttler and Stefan Koubek, world-class footballers Dante and Barbosa, world-class gymnast Lukas Dauser and many more.
  • He currently coaches not only professional athletes, but also junior and prospective athletes in the sports of skiing, tennis, soccer, golf, mountain biking, free diving, snowboarding, synchronized swimming, gymnastics, formation dance and handball
  • He educated over 1,000 coaches for the fitness chain MRS Sporty and in over 300 seminars and workshops for "PerformBetter", "Sportlerei" and "Inhouse", out training a further 10,000 coaches.
  • Silvester planned and structured the fitness and gymnastics area at Therme Geinberg, one of Austria's largest 4-star spa resorts with an area of 102,000 square meters.
  • SPEAKER
  • Silvester held presentations to a total of over 800 participants for the German Tennis Federation's A-coach training courses in Göttingen in 2017 and Berlin in 2019 and was a speaker at the DTB's athletics coach education program.
  • He has been a permanent speaker at the Badischer Tennisverband's advanced training courses since 2015.
  • He demonstrates his expertise not only as a personal coach and athletics trainer, but also as a lecturer (PT A-License, Mental Coaching, Functional Training A-License) and Functional Training Specialist.
  • SCREENING
  • In a unique series of tests for TennisGate, Silvester screened the functionality of over 100 top tennis players from all age groups, including professionals Dominik Koepfer, Sina Herrmann and Alex Vecic as well as many national squad athletes.
  • Silvester carried out a series of biofeedback tests with over 3,500 people, including medical and technical instruction and testing for teams, individual athletes and national teams.
