After writing Developing High Performance Tennis Players, which was mainly meant for coaches, I wanted to utilize my fifty years of experience as a competitor, high-performance coach, coaches’ coach and instructor of hundreds of players of all ages and levels to write a practical book with proven methods to help any tennis enthusiast understand the game better and take it to the next level.

Nowadays, the problem for anyone seeking to develop his/her game is not the lack of information but the overwhelming amounts of it, especially on the Internet, much of it confusing and useless.

My goal is to provide you with a clear path to improve by focusing on the skills that ultimately determine your success as a player.

Edgar Giffenig

Edgar is the International Consultant and Project Leader of TennisGate.

Edgar is a Frequent speaker in coaching workshops throughout the world. ITF, PTR, DTB, ITA, USTA, FMT, TA. He was National Coach in the USA, Germany and Mexico.

He was a member of the ITF Coaches Commission and has spent over 35 years coaching players of all ages and level. Edgar still likes to play and in 2016 was ranked number 5 in the world in the 55s ITF World Ranking. Edgar is fluent in German, English and Spanish.

He is the Author of the Books “Play Tennis with Passion” and “Developing High Performance Tennis Players”.
