Training Management

Plan your Training

The collections function is a powerful web tool within all TennisGate Education Clubs. You can use it to archive videos or posts, edit, customise and expand them. This makes targeted preparation for the day, the whole week or even for longer cycles a breeze.

Add a video

In the sidebar you will find the “Add to a collections” tab. A small window will then open in which you can name and save the Collections.

Edit Collection

You will see a small “pencil” symbol at the top of the Collection. This opens the edit function.

Add changes

You can now move the order of the posts (via drag and drop) or add notes.

Save changes

All changes must be saved using the save icon in the top right-hand corner.

Open Collection

You can find your playlists either in the top menu under “MyTennsiGate”, Collections – OR also in your dashboard.

Media

Enjoy the videos

The video player has useful tools for desktop, laptop, smartphone and presentations in training courses. Some of them are self-explanatory, but since "visualisation" is on our company flag, we will briefly present the video functions here.

Standard video buttons

The basic buttons such as playback (1), volume (2) and full screen (3) are easy to understand. For optimum listening, we recommend setting the volume to medium (the player remembers this for the next time). If necessary, you can press the ESC button to get out of full screen mode.

Preview panel

You can always display a current preview image by Drag&Drop within the preview bar. This is helpful if you are looking for a specific position in the video.

Subtitles

TennisGate is an international platform with subtitles in many videos. In the english section always when the language in the video is German. Select the CC button to choose your preferred language. The player will save your language selection for future views.

Video Transcript

You will often find a transcript (1) for bilingual videos, which you can call up using the button with the text and the magnifying glass. The entire transcript of the video can then be seen on the right (2). You can also jump directly to the video positions using the time stamps.

Switch language

For multilingual videos, you can change the language of the transcript (1) or switch off the timestamps (2).

Settings

As the videos can only be viewed with an internet connection and cannot be downloaded, it can sometimes be useful (depending on the available bandwidth) to reduce the quality slightly (1). If the slider is set to “Auto”, the player will automatically out the appropriate quality. You can also play longer videos faster using the “Speed” button (2)

Picture-in-picture

The picture-in-picture feature can be very useful if you want to run longer videos on the desktop and make parallel recordings.

Chapters

This function is very time-consuming in video editing, but helps immensely when watching longer videos. If the “Chapter” button (1) is available, the video has sections that you can easily jump to. This is a great function, especially for videos on TennisGate workshops or TennisGate training courses.

Air-Play

Discussing tennis training with several people in a room and broadcasting TennisGate videos to a large screen? It’s a breeze with the Apple “Air Play” function. Simply enable the functions on the TV and iPhone.
