Every player comes to the point at one time or another where they virtually break their strokes down into component parts. It’s a sure way to lose self-awareness of your strokes. One of the oldest but most proven exercises to “erase” these negative thoughts is “Hop-Hit”. Again, as a quick reminder, when the ball comes up, the player says “Hop” at the same time, and when it comes to contact point the player says “Hit”.
